Wednesday by Janaid

First, I woke up at 5.45am. I had a wonderful bath. Breakfast was at 7.30 and  had cereal. At 8.30 we left the hotel. It took 1 hour and 30 minutes to reach the mountains.

Before going up the mountain, we went to a ski slope.

Next, we went in a cable car to the top of the mountain. 60 people could fit in the cable car. We walked to the peak of the mountain and looked in a telescope. Next, we got our ticket for the cable car down the mountain. On the way we saw huge trees. One of the biggest trees in the national park grew to be 500 years old but it died. Now there are trees that are 400 years old.

Next, we went to McDonald's. I had a fillet o' fish burger and fries. Then we went to a shopping centre. The centre was very good and we had a great time. I could not see any litter on the floor. I bought lots of magnets.

Next, we went to a museum. We saw lots of stuffed animals.

I really enjoyed the day and I saw things I haven't seen before. It was absolutely wonderful.

Today I woke up at 5.45am to have a bath. Then we went downstairs to have our breakfast. After breakfast, we left on a coach to the mountains. It was really cold up there.

Mr Zajac told us that one tree in the national park lived to be 500 years old, then it died. Now there is one that is 400 years old. He also told us that there are wooden houses that are cleaned twice a year.

The mountains were called the Tatra Mountains. We went up the mountains in a cable car. 60 people could fit into one car. We walked up many stairs and paths to the peak of the mountain. There was still some snow left on the top. The view was beautiful! We had some pictures taken and looked through a large silver telescope. I could see lots of people through it. On the way back down, whenever there was a silver stand, the cable car went faster. On the way back our guide thanked us for our attention and we clapped for him.

After we came down the mountain, we went to McDonalds and we bought some gifts from the market. The toys were so nice that I didn't know what to choose. In the end, I bought two fridge magnets.

I am never going to forget this wonderful day. This was the best day of my life!

Day Four: Wednesday by Ibrahim

I woke up, got out of bed, got dressed and then had breakfast. We then went in a coach and then a cable car up the Tatra Mountains. In the cable car I saw lots of things like really old trees. The wind can sometimes blow the trees down because it's really strong but lots of trees are still living. The oldest trees in the park are 400 years old. We walked for what felt like miles. There were loads of stores and people on the mountain.

At the top of the mountain there was still quite a bit of snow. Some parts were slippery. There were mostly rocks on the top of the mountain. We tried to climb some of them and me and Furqan tried to climb some of the bigger ones. We then looked in a telescope.

Afterwards, we did lots of shopping. I bought gifts for my sisters. I bought a pencil for Rummanah, a dog for Raihana and 2 snow globes, one for Rizwana and one for me.

Then we went for a walk. We wore our high visibility jackets to represent our school. If we were to get lost, we would be easier to find because of the colour. Our walk was really lovely.

Then we got back into the coach and went back to the hotel.

Tuesday by Janaid, C14

I woke up at 6:00am and had breakfast at 7:00am. I had cereal for breakfast. At 8:00am we got a coach to Krakow.
First, we went to look at a castle. Next, we had a look at a big bell and a small bell. We found out that it takes 12 people to move the big bell and if you touch it and make a wish, your wish should come true. We all touched it and made a wish.

Next, we went to McDonald's and we eat chips and fillet o' fish burgers. Then we met up with the group and went to look at another church. After that we left for the salt mine.

In the salt mine we had lots of salt all around us. We went deep into the mine. The deepest we went was 135 metres. Next we went back to the hotel. We got back at 8.00pm. Next we had supper. For super we had fish and lots of salad. We played with our Turkish friends after dinner and then went to sleep.

Day Three - Tuesday by Hamzah

Today we went to a salt mine. It was really big. It had 2000 chambers and we went down 800 steps altogether to see just 3 of the chambers! Me and my friends tasted the salt. The salt mine was in Krakow which is 1.5 hours away from Zawoja (where we're staying).

When we got back to our hotel, we had supper. We ate soup and fish with mashed potatoes. In our hotel we have a great view from our window.
