Hungary Trip - Day 2 By Zoiya

We couldn't sleep because we were so excited. We started getting ready at 3.30am, two hours early! We lay on our beds talking about how wonderful the trip was going to be. What felt like hours later, we were FINALLY ready to set off for our long-awaited trip. However, little did we know, we would have to drag our suitcases a long way to the airport. I wish we had listened to our teachers and had more sleep.

When we got to the airport we checked our luggage and had to go through security. However, this was no ordinary experience for me. When I scanned my bags and walked through the scanner it started bleeping! The security lady had to search me. I could feel myself going tomato-red. I felt guilty even though I hadn't done anything. I could feel everyone's eyes staring at me. Luckily, everything was fine at the end and I was allowed to join the others.

After the terrible ordeal, we were all ready for breakfast. I was famished. I could have eaten a horse! We all ate mouth-watering chocolate croissants and fresh orange juice. Whilst eating we couldn't stop thinking about our Hungarian adventure.

We boarded our plane and I was a little bit nervous. It was a new experience travelling without my mum. I haven't been on a plane since I was little. Ms Andrews reassured me that everything was going to be okay. I sat in between Harfiza and Ms Andrews. I missed take off because I was asleep. One minute I was asleep, the next minute we were high in the sky and I could see fluffy white clouds outside that reminded me of candy floss. Luckily I was so tired from the lack of sleep that I managed to sleep during most of the journey. I only hope I wasn't snoring. Sana was! The plane landing shook me awake. We landed in Debrecen at 1.00pm.

We left the plane and went through customs and we were met by Mr Viski and the Hungarian headteacher. Mr Viski took us on the bus to our hotel. I was exhausted. The only thing I could think about was going to sleep. We unpacked and folded all of our clothes and put them on the shelves. Suddenly, Mrs Begum came into our room and said that we had to move rooms. We were furious but we guess safety comes first so we were moved to a room with no balcony. When we got into our new room we repeated the whole exercise all over again.

After that, we went to a local shop and bought some supplies which included butter, cheese, crisps, drinks and biscuits. When we got back, the teachers made us some delightful sandwiches and gave us orange juice. I was feeling a bit apprehensive as I didn't know what it would taste like.

We then went to our rooms and started gossiping about what our dinner would be like. We were still hungry. We relaxed in our rooms for a couple of hours and then the teachers called us for dinner. It was a yummy buffet. We had battered fish and chipped potatoes. Arbarb and Harfiza didn't eat much food even though the teachers kept saying to try it as they wouldn't have enough energy for tomorrow.

I am looking forward to tomorrow as we have busy day planned for us. I'm most looking forward to the water park.

Hungary Trip - Day 1 by Sana

I am sooo excited! I've reached school with my beautiful suitcase and I am ready to go. I'm getting on the luxurious, comfortable bus. As I get on the bus, I look back at my mum. Mum has started to cry. Then, suddenly as I sit myself down on the leather seats I feel something tug at the back of me. It's my cutest little bro in the world. He's come to give me a hug and kiss. After we all said our goodbyes we left for our hotel at Luton Airport. During the two-hour journey, Arbarb (one of my friends) needed the toilet desperately so we had to go to the service station. Suddenly, as we got to the service station all the girls, including me, started to say they wanted McDonald's so the kind and loving teachers let us order some food. I ordered a Smartie McFlurry and  medium packet of fries. YUM, YUM, delicious!!!

After we had our McDonald's meal we set out on our journey. Me, Aneesa, Zoiya, Arbarb and Harfiza were gossiping all the way to the hotel.

Finally we arrived. I couldn't believe my eyes! We checked in at the reception and got the key cards to our hotel rooms. We went inside our beautiful rooms, dragging our suitcases behind us.
