Day Three, Part Three by Aaliyah: Petřín Hill

When we left Botanical Gardens, we set off on the bus to the metro station, I.P. Pavlova. when we arrived we got on a tram to see the mini Eiffel Tower. 

We got off the tram at Ujezd and saw some steep steps which were near a group of interesting statues. We then went on a funicular railway up the hill to the tower. We climbed over 200 steps to get to the top! I was apprehensive when going up but it wasn't that hard. The view at the top was amazing; we could see the whole of Prague!

We walked back down all the steps and went to the Mirror Maze. The mirrors inside one room made us look really funny.

Day Three, Part Two by Aaliyah: Botanical Gardens

After lunch we went to the Botanical Gardens. We saw lots of butterflies and a huge garden. We then walked through the garden up a steep hill. Me, Safa and Zaynab took a shortcut with Mr Brown and we reached the exit first! Victory! Here are some pictures from the gardens: 

Day Three, Part One by Aaliyah: The School

We had a very, very long sleep. We slept for 11 hours in total! We had breakfast and got the bus to school. It was a bumpy ride. 

We were shown around by girls and boys from the school. Afterwards, we went outside to see a P.E. lesson. On the grass, we played a game called Black and White with the students from Poland. It was a fun game. 

Next, we took part in a P.E. lesson with students from the school and the Polish group. We were put into three teams to play a game called Kin-Ball. Me, Zaynab and Safa volunteered to be the captains of each team. We then had lunch which was okay. We had cheese, potato and salad. It was very salty.  

Prague Day Two by Zaynab

I woke up early in the morning and had a quick shower. Afterwards, we went downstairs and had breakfast. I had bread with jam and orange juice. 

After breakfast, we went for a walk around our local area. First we went to the park. We played on the seesaw. It was really fun!! We even played on the donut swing. 

Me, Aaliyah and Safa went to Tesco to buy food for the evening with Mr Brown, Ms Andrews and Mrs Patel. We bought crisps, cereal, glue, gift bags, fruit, salad, fish and drinks. We then went outside and took lots of pictures. We walked back to the hotel as we had to go and meet the Polish children at the train station.

We met the polish group and walked to the city centre. We ate lunch at a traditional Czech restaurant called Ceska Kuchyne. In the centre there were musicians, the Astronomical Clock and Charles Bridge. We visited the Comenius Museum and then walked to the Chocolate Museum. We had to walk a lot but we got candy and chocolate! There were two choices at the end as well. We could choose from hot chocolate or candy. I chose hot chocolate. It was really nice. 

After that, we took a ride on the metro and caught the bus to the hotel. Safa and Aaliyah fell asleep on the bus! We finally made it to the hotel. We went upstairs, got changed and then went downstairs to write in our diaries. Lastly, we had cheese or tuna sandwiches with salad and strawberries for dinner before going to bed.

Year 5's Prague Adventure: Day One by Safa

Information about the plane: We reached the airport at 6.15pm. We got in the aeroplane at 9:20pm and landed at Prague Airport at 12:00am (Prague time)! Me and my friend Aaliyah had fun sitting together in the plane. Aaliyah made me and Zaynab laugh and we made a new friend called Riley. 

On the way to the hotel: Now we are in the van and we are on the way to our hotel. I AM SO EXCITED!!!! 

 About the language and the motorway: The language is very difficult to understand. We are finding it very hard. When we were on the motorway it was like we were on our way to Birmingham City Centre! 

 The hotel: When we got there we were all excited. We got our room key, went upstairs and went into our rooms. We were planning to watch some TV, but Mrs Patel came and said 'It is 1.00am so you have to get some sleep so we can wake up early, have breakfast and explore the area.' 

 Our bedroom: Our bedroom is so big! We have a big black wardrobe, a TV and we even have a sofa bed. Zaynab is sleeping on the sofa bed and me and Aaliyah are sleeping on two singles. We have three lamps, one desk, four draws, one table, one bathroom and one nice, big green plant.
